Our Story
Met the One was created with one goal in mind: to make weddings and celebrations unforgettable through music.
Originally formed as the country/rock/blues band Meet the Fawkers, our energy and chemistry on stage quickly caught the attention of couples who loved our mix of soulful classics, party anthems, and heartfelt ballads. From there, Met the One was born - a wedding and events band dedicated to bringing that same passion to every special occasion.
Based in Galway, we now perform at weddings and events all across Ireland. Whether it's the romance of a first dance, the fun of a packed dance floor, or the joy of a Day 2 celebration, our music is all about creating moments you'll never forget.
Behind the scenes, the band is managed by musicians Deanna McDonagh and Matt Faughnan, who work closely with every couple to make planning seamless and stress-free. Together, we make sure that when your big day comes, the music is one thing you'll never have to worry about.
